Optical integration and multi-carrier solutions for 100G and beyond

Abstract In this paper, we will review techniques to achieve 100 Gb/s and higher optical channels; review the impact upon system reach; review the benefits of using multiple carriers; and discuss how optical integration is a key enabling technology for future low cost high capacity systems.
