In the course of our thesis we dealt with the implementation of a manufacturing cell. For this we used the FESTO MPS modules. The production cell is controlled by a PLC. We have not only implemented a unique layout and workflow), but also added new features to the system. This means using two control units, one of which is responsible for controlling the process, while the other is managing a web interface.
