The crystal and molecular structure of 2-Acetyl-5-Bromothiophene

Crystals of 2-acetyl-5-bromo-thiophene are orthorhombic, space group Pbca, Z = 8, cell dimensions a = 7.334, b = 11.156, c = 17.906 A. The conformation of the thienyl ring with respect to the carbonyl group is single-trans.
