A comparative study on the hardness of GFRP with carbon nanotubes and saw dust as reinforcement

2021
Abstract The researches have been focused on choosing a suitable material for replacing reinforced polymers. Glass fiber reinforced polymers (GFRP) material has been preferred because of unique properties for making composite structures stronger, because the material has well resistant to corrosion and the material is having high strength to weight ratio. The only disadvantage facing GFRP material is continuous usage of material makes the property fatigue. For improving the property few combinations has been tried in this research. Reinforcements like Carbon Nano Tubes and Saw Dust was added to make the composite stronger. The unique property of saw dust and CNT is more highlighting for GFRP material.
