Role of some antioxidants on polymerisation behaviour of ethylene oxide

Ethylene oxide undergoes polymerisation during storage. The extent of polymerisation has been studied by determining non-volatile residue (NVR) periodically. The addition of antioxidants retard its polymerisation and it is supported by NVR data as well as performance evaluation test as compared to the virgin ethylene oxide.
