Aspectos motivacionais envolvidos na prática regular de treinamento personalizado em academias de Fortaleza-CE

Greater knowledge about the benefits of physical exercise and the modernization of training, based mainly on the principles of biological individuality and specificity, contributed to the consolidation of the professional who acts as a Personal Trainer. With the increase in the number of bodybuilders, the importance of knowledge and understanding of the motivational aspects involved in the practice of the modality increased. The objective was to analyze the motivational aspects involved in the practice of personalized training in Fortaleza-CE academies. It was an exploratory study, with a quantitative and descriptive approach, that brought together a sample composed of 27 subjects of both genders, aged between 20 and 65 years. The data of the motivation inventory to the Regular Practice of Physical Activity (IMPRAF-54) and a questionnaire with 3 open questions were used in the data collection. The results showed that the dimensions that motivate clients of personalized training were health (37.5), pleasure (36.7) and aesthetics (34.6). It was observed that the search for better results was the main reason (38.3%) that made the participants opt for the service. What motivated the clients' stay in the personalized training service (44.9%) was to obtain results. Professional competence (25%) and indication (25%) were the decisive factors in hiring the personal trainer. It is concluded that the professional competence goes beyond skills and technical knowledge, and it is essential that the professional of the area seeks to develop aspects related to humanistic, relationship, motivation, management and administration, aiming to become a professional in the environment in which it operates.
