Studies on homo-trinuclear complexes of Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) with a nonadentate ligand

Abstract Homo-trinuclear complexes of general formula [M 3 LCl 2 (H 2 O) 3 ] [M = Mn(II), Co(II) or Ni(II); H 4 L = bis-(resacetophenone)-2,6-dipicolinoyldihydrazone] have been synthesized. The ligand acts as a tetrabasic nonadentate (N 5 O 4 ) chelating agent. The complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental-analysis, electrical-conductance and IR spectral data.
