The Filament Disappearance of May 7, 1992

The post-flare X-ray loops of the May 7, 1992 event are quite similar in shape to a shrimp’s tail (thus it has been called the EBI [shrimp in Japanese] event). It was studied by Khan et al. (1993) from X-ray data obtained with SXT onboard the Yohkoh satellite. Recently Meudon observers recognised that they had Hα observations for the period of the EBI event. We report here our further research on the EBI event, based mainly on Hα- and radio-observations.
