The invention relates to a method for laser cutting of a TC4 titanium alloy plate and belongs to the technical field of laser and surface modification. Titanium alloy free of microcracks and excellent in mechanical property is prepared through combination of a laser cutting technology and auxiliary gas. In the laser cutting process, laser beams irradiate TC4 titanium alloy, a titanium alloy matrix absorbs energy of the laser beams to melt and then is blown away by a gas mixture formed by nitrogen and argon, and finally the cutting effect is obtained. Meanwhile, nitrogen and the matrix are subjected to a strong chemical reaction under irradiation of the high-energy laser beams, a high-hardness nitriding layer is obtained, shallow groove marks in the surface are reduced through the nitriding layer, microcracks caused by uneven stress in a thermal affected zone are also reduced, accordingly, the surface mechanical property is improved, and the fatigue life of the titanium alloy is prolonged.
