Shell-and-tube heat exchanger with oblate tube

2009
A shell-and-tube heat exchanger with oblate tube fundamentally solves problems of the traditional shell-and-tube heat exchanger with segmental baffle that shell pass has flowing dead area and higher pressure drop and the like. The main technical proposal is of adopting a plurality of oblate tubes as heat exchanging tubes among bundles; leading prolate axis parts of adjacent oblate tubes to be contacted so as to form support and obstruction and leading minor axis parts to form clearances correspondingly so as to finally form reticular flow channels in bundles; arranging cross-shaped blocking tube brackets in clearances of round-tube parts at two ends of heat exchange tubes corresponding to pass partitions inside a header; welding a plurality of blocking tubes which are parallel with heat exchange tubes between the blocking tube brackets; leading the prolate axis parts of the blocking tubes and the heat exchange tubes to be contacted mutually and leading the minor axis parts to be matched mutually; sleeving guiding fastening cylinders on which circular blocking plates are equally welded on the external parts of the heat exchange tubes; and welding the guiding fastening cylinders on the blocking tube brackets. Compared with the prior heat exchanger with oblate tube, the invention has the advantages of largely enhancing the heat exchange efficiency. The invention can be widely applied to the industries of oil refining, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, power and the like.
