No Advantage?: Lessons from Australia's Experiments in Asylum Policy

In recent years, Australia has seen a burgeoning number of migrants seeking asylum, and in response, Australia has developed some of the world’s strictest border control policies. While not perfect, Australia’s system of managing refugees can provide valuable lessons for policymakers in Europe and North America who are desperately seeking reliable and fair solutions.
