Investigation of the gas chromatographic separation in eluent-thermal displacement preparative chromatography

1969
1. The basic peculiarities of gas-chromatographic separation in the eluent-thermal displacement method, which is one of the variations of chromatography without a carrier gas, were considered. 2. The blurring of the zone boundaries as a function of the rate of motion of the thermal field, the carrier gas velocity, the volume and composition of the sample, were studied experimentally. 3. Possibilities of using the method for the separation of liquid products, in particular, for the production of high purity compounds and the concentration of trace impurities, were demonstrated.
