Studying the Lorenz equations with one-dimensional maps from successive local maxima inz

The Lorenz equations is studied with one-dimensional maps from successive local maxima inz. It is found that the periodic windows embedded in chaotic region of the Lorenz equations could be ordered in a systematic way according to symbolic dynamics of three letters.
