Evaluation of the Efficiency of Wireless Power Transfer System using the Support Vector Machine

2019
This paper deals with a multi-coil wireless power transfer (WPT) system. Its transmission efficiency is an implicit function of the coil distance and frequency, which can be hardly represented by analytic functions. In this paper, the support vector machine (SVM) is utilized to evaluate the transmission efficiency of the WPT systems owing to its proved ability for small sample training. The input data can be either obtained by simulations or experiments. The trained SVM can predict the transmission efficiency and hence give suggestions to improve the WPT system. Reflected in practice, this method can also provide a reference to reduce the number of simulations or experiments for multi-coil WPT systems.
