Integrated photonic THz transmitter employing ultra-broadband travelling-wave 1.55 /spl mu/m photodetectors

We report on antenna and waveguide coupled photonic THz transmitter employing ultrabroadband 1.55 /spl mu/m travelling-wave photodetectors. Optical heterodyne submm-wave generation is experimentally investigated up to 1 THz.
