Cryostats for mu-SR experiments

1985
This paper examines the use of cryostats for research on matter by means of positive muons in the synchrocyclotron of the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems of the Joint Institute of Nuclear Research. It is possible to maintain the temperature of the samples under inspection with high stability at various temperature values of the interval 4.2-300 degrees K. The scheme of a crysostat with a container for matter condensed from the gas phase is presented and explained. A system for maintaining and monitoring the sample temperature is considered.
