Door for console box

This door (3) for a console box (1) has an outer door (10), an inner door (30), and a lock mechanism (40). The inner door (30) is attached to the outer door (10) and has a pair of attachment walls (32). The lock mechanism (40) releasably locks the door (3) in a position whereby an opening (2a) in the body (2) of the console box (1) is closed. The lock mechanism (40) has a knob (42) that is pivotably mounted to the attachment walls (32) between said attachment walls (32) and is manipulated to release the lock mechanism (40). The outer door (10) has a pair of ribs (12) that, when subjected to a load in the direction of the inner door (30), push the pair of attachment walls (32) away from each other, causing the knob (42) to fall out from between the attachment walls (32).
