Expression of Plasminogen and Tissue-plasminogen Activator after Intracerebral Haemorrhage and Their Relationship with Second Attack

2005
Purpose To explore the expression of plasminogen and tissue-plasminogen activator after intracerebral haemorrhage and the relationship with second attack. Methods Experssion of mRNA was measured by RT-PCR, Neurological deficits were valued by Zea-longa methods. Results Neurological deficits were observed over time and were improved in the first 3 days. But there were 70% of the ICH rats with the deteriorated neurological deficits from 4th day after intracerbral haemorrhage. The expression level of PLG mRNA increased significantly 7 days after intracerebral haemorrhage and tPA mRNA rose in the 3rd day compared with control group and other time respectively. Conclusions Expression level of plasminogen and tissue plasmiongen activator mRNA maybe involved with second attack.
