The invention relates to a method for the dynamic regulation of projection and a projection display device. The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to provide the method for the dynamic regulation of projection. The method for the dynamic regulation of projection is suitable for a projection display device which is used for displaying output images and comprises a light source, wherein the light source is driven by pulse periodic signals. The method for the dynamic regulation of projection comprises the following steps of: (a) judging brightness parameters of the output images; (b) regulating the pulse periodic signals according to the brightness parameters; and (c) driving the light source by using the pulse periodic signals.
