Event-triggered and self-triggered asymptotically tracking control of linear systems

2013
In this paper, we study an event-triggered control algorithm for the output tracking control problem of linear systems. The reference output signal is generated by a known system. First, an event-triggered scheme based on the state error is proposed to guarantee the controlled system asymptotically tracking the reference signal. Then, we also co-design the controller and the parameter of the event, which is obtained by solving a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI). Next, a corresponding self-triggered control scheme is provided. Then, an event-triggered scheme based on the output feedback is given, which also guarantees asymptotically tracking the reference signal. Moreover, the corresponding output feedback controller is designed. Finally, numerical simulations are used to illustrate the efficiency of theoretical results.
