Measurement of the isotope composition of ITER-FEAT plasma by means of neutral particle diagnostics

2001
This paper presents the results obtained in the simulation of neutral particle fluxes of deuterium and tritium, emitted by ITER-FEAT plasma along the major radius in the middle plane of the torus. The electron capture in collisions with He+ ions is taken into account as a mechanism of hydrogen ion neutralization in addition to the resonant charge exchange with background neutrals. The simulation shows that 150 keV D0 and T0 atoms are emitted from the plasma core and the flux values are high enough to enable nd/nt measurement in the plasma core with required accuracy and time resolution.
