Percepção da Qualidade de Vida e Prevalência de Sintomas de Depressão em Universitários

This study has as general objective to evaluate the perception of quality of life and prevalence of depression symptoms in university students of a Higher Education Institution. Also having as specific objectives, to correlate the quality of life with the depression symptoms of the students and to outline the sociodemographic profile of the analyzed students. This is a clinical, prospective research with a quantitative approach. And it was developed in a private higher education institution in Teresina, data collection took place through online questionnaires, from August to October 2020. It can be concluded that students consider their quality of life poor and that there is high prevalence of depression symptoms in students, even if minimal or mild. And when correlating the symptoms of depression with the quality of life, it is noticed that they are significantly correlated, that is, these symptoms directly harm the quality of life of these students.
