In Asia, the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has been extant for some three months and is now hitting the whole world The Coronavirus pandemic will hasten many of the changes that were underway prior to its occurrence All research has to observe guidelines to ensure ethical practice Online research, such as conducting netnographies, visual ethnographies, online interviews of different types, and so on , have ethical standards that are similar to their in-person counterparts and which must be maintained This chapter suggests some ways in which we may be able to conduct research that addresses the individual and social needs that have arisen from COVID-19 It is therefore important that researchers establish clear expectations of the participant and that they create a supportive environment within the research procedure When conducting research associated with the pandemic, the researcher should introduce participants to the research as a collaborative setting and process There is a lot of information that is being spread about the virus by word of mouth, social media, and many other sources Websites and other forms of communication about the virus do exist that are reputable and provide trustworthy information (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2021 APA, all rights reserved)
