Method for self-calibration of non-metric digital camera using ground control point and additional parameter

2013
The present invention relates to a method for self-calibration of non-metric digital camera photographing system using a ground control point and an additional parameter. The method relates to a camera for geodetic surveying by accurately determining interior orientation parameters thanks to its self-certification system using an additional parameter, ground control point, and images for an object by a non-metric digital camera. The present invention installed on a plane comprises: a non-metric digital camera; a camera controller; a laptop; and a wired remote controller. The method comprises the following steps: a) acquiring an air photograph through aerial photography for an object by the operation of the camera controller controlling the non-metric digital camera equipped on a plane while a plane flies over the object; b) acquiring a ground control point and a check point by through GPS measurement by quick runway static survey for a set spot after the spot which is distinguished from the surrounding is set when the non-metric digital camera takes air photograph for an object by the camera controller; c) calculating self-calibration information for the ground control point and additional parameter by analyzing the characteristics of the non-metric digital camera, navigation information of a plane, and air photographed images taken by the camera controller; d) and determining the interior and exterior orientation parameters from the calculated results of self-calibration.
