The purpose of this study are: to determine the Yogyakarta Special Region POLDA efforts in investigating acts of sexual violence that occur in children and to determine the constraints experienced in the implementation of legislation related to sexual violence that occur in children.Law research are normative legal writing is by abstracting through a process of positive legal norms in the form of systematic laws that describe and analyze the structure and the positive law. Normative research is research that focuses on norms and these studies require secondary data as the main data. The results obtained are of inquiries and investigations conducted by
Police and DI Yogyakarta in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 35 of 2014 on the protection of children, the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 11 of 2012 concerning juvenile justice system and Regulations Chief of Police Indonesia No. 14 Year 2012 on the management of criminal investigations. Constraints faced by DI Yogyakarta Regional Police in the application of the Act related to criminal acts of sexual violence against children, among others: a. Internal constraints faced by the police in investigating criminal acts of child sexual abuse are the factors of time and engineering investigations and inquiries in the gathering of evidence. Inside inquiries and investigations by the police have difficulty in meeting the evidence in accordance with article 184 of the Criminal Code; b. External constraints faced by the police in investigating
the crime of sexual abuse of children in the form of difficulty asking for information on children who are victims of sexual violence.
