Changes of CD4~+ and CD8~+ in T cell in peripheral blood in SARS

Objective To observe the changes of CD4 + and CD8 +T cell in peripheral blood,and to explore the immune response in patients with SARS.Methods Consecutive blood samples from 13 patients with SARS and 10 healthy volunteers (serving as control group were collected.The CD4 + and CD8 + in T cell in peripheral blood were determined by flow cytometry.Results Compared with control group,the CD4 +and CD8 + in T cell in patients with SARS significantly decreased from one to four weeks,especially the second week.Conclusion There is an abnormal immune response in patients with SARS.The CD4 + and CD8 + in T cell in peripheral blood decrease.
