X-ray scattering evidence for the value of the critical exponent η in Argon☆

Abstract A comparison of results from X-ray scattering and other methods suggests that for argon, η = 0.10 ± 0.05. The isothermal compressibility at the critical density has been determined in the one-phase region near the critical temperature.
