resently, diabetes mellitus has become a serious health problem worldwide, affecting 246 million people all over the world (1). Based on World Health Organization (WHO) estimates, approximately 333 million people will suffer from diabetes mellitus by 2025 (2). The number of patients with diabetes mellitus in Iran will increase to more than 6 million people by 2030 (3).
