Функционирование лексемы «Знание» в пословичной картине мира русских и английских языков

The article is devoted on an important topic of study and compare fragments proverbs picture of the world with the key token of "knowledge" in Russian and English languages, in particular, the establishment of similar and different features of lexical components in the two compared languages, that is the definition of ethnic identity analyzed proverbs. Comparison proverbs showed how much these people have in common, which, in turn, contributes to a better mutual understanding and rapprochement. It should be noted that many of the Russian and English proverbs ambiguous, making them difficult to interpret and compare. In selecting the Russian equivalents of English proverb compulsory criterion was a coincidence one of the values (usually main). However, it is important to remember that adding in different historical conditions, Russian and English proverbs to express the same thought often of similar used various images. Which, in turn, reflect a different social structure and way of life of the two peoples, and often is roughly equivalent.
