Hepatobiliary Imaging in Acute Alcoholic Hepatitis with Fatty Liver

Hepatobiliary scintigraphy with Tc-99m mebrofenin in a patient with acute alcoholic hepatitis and fatty liver is reported and is compared to CT and ultrasound. It demonstrated two hot spots that corresponded to regions not involved with fatty liver, as evidenced by normal density areas on CT and relatively hypoechoic areas on ultra-sonography.
