Research of investment process as the number of consequent phases and stages of transformation of investment resources has been carried out. Institutional peculiarities of investment circumstances in different market models were considered. The main approaches of classification of investment processes were determined. Criteria of investment activity efficiency considered as unity of process and result were marked out.
