Analysis of shielding effectiveness in different kinds of electromagnetic shielding fabric in the wide frequency of 1GHz ∼ 18GHz

Currently, the three kinds of electromagnetic shielding fabric which include silver plated fiber functional fabric, copper-nickel duplicate coating fabric and stainless steel fiber blended type fabric is not clear in shielding effectiveness's change regulation in the range of wide frequency. The article uses DR-SO4 window method shielding effectiveness tester to test the three electromagnetic shielding fabric in 1 GHz ∼ 18 GHz wide frequency band about the shielding effectiveness. Through the analysis of the data of Origin 8.0 software, it shows that there are three kinds of electromagnetic shielding fabric shielding effectiveness appear peak in 2 GHz ∼ 6 GHz wide frequency band; Low frequency and high frequency shielding effectiveness varies greatly and the shielding efficiency is lower. the shielding effectiveness of intermediate frequency is relatively stable; In the wide frequency band, the change trend of shielding effectiveness is increased and then decrease on the whole. The stainless steel fiber type fabric's shielding effectiveness appear two obvious peaks which appear in different frequency with the peaks of silver plated fiber functional fabric, copper-nickel duplicate coating fabric; The shielding effectiveness of stainless steel fiber blended fabric is stable after 8 GHz and the other two have obvious fluctuation, which has a guiding significance on the design and production of electromagnetic shielding fabric. This research can provide a reference for the design of electromagnetic shielding fabric in a wide frequency band.
