Economic Results of Suboptimal Environmental Conditions

2006
Economic development means more and more GNP in the economy. But sometimes, it entails costs to the environment. Accordingly, this paper seeks to examine the relationship between income and other indices of Socio-economic Status (SES) with environmental risk factors like air pollution, water pollution, hazardous waste, etc. The outcomes of the study suggest that income is inversely correlated with exposure to suboptimal environmental conditions.
