Analysis on the Constituents and Factors Influencing Hospitalization Expense of Heart Valve Replacement Surgery

AbstractObjective. To explore the factors influencing the hospitalization expense of heart valve replacement surgery and countermeasures to control them. Method. Based on the data of the hospitalization expense of heart valve replacement surgery in a certain hospital, the factors influencing the hospitalization expense of heart valve replacement surgery were analyzed by descriptive analysis, nonparametric test, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression and other methods. Result. The ratio of the material cost to the entire hospitalization cost was the highest (51.50%); and the statistically significant influencing factors of the hospitalization expense were the ID type, drug proportion, age, average length of stay (LOS), year of discharge from the hospital, disease, and so on (P < 0.05). Conclusion. The measures employed to decrease the hospitalization expense are improving the single disease management of medical insurance, reasonably controlling the use of drugs and consumables, strengthening the...
