The method comprises the following steps: judging whether the mobile terminal is at a stolen state; if the mobile terminal is at a stolen state, triggering the stolen mobile terminal to acquire fingerprint data of a user; and automatically sending the acquired fingerprint data of the user to a preset mobile terminal of a contact by the stolen mobile terminal. According to the invention, the contact can find out the thief stealing the mobile phone according to the fingerprint data.
