Theanalysisproceedsfromtheintegralequationforthesurfacecurrentdensityinducedonaplanarstrip.Explicitexpressionsforrealandimaginarypartsofimpedancesarederivedinvisibleandinvisibleregionsrespectively.1. INTRODUCTIONWaveguidefedslotarraysareusedinmanyradarandcommunicationsystems.Considerableinvestigationshavealreadybeencarriedoutontheevaluationofadmittanceofradiatingslotusingvariational[1–3]aswellasmomentmethod[4]formulations.Thespecificadvantageofvariationalformulationisthatitenablesevaluationoftheparametersofthecomplexequivalentcircuit[1,3].Asaresulttheentireproblemreducestoasimplecircuitanalysisproblem,whichisnecessaryforslot radiator using multilayered junctions [5].
