Sensor Integration System Based on Fuzzy Inference with Vision System and LED Displacement Sensor

Abstract This paper deals with a 3-D measurement system with a sensor integration system based on fuzzy inference. The measurement system consists of a LED displacement sensor and a CCD camera. The LED sensor is a part of the vision system. The LED sensor's outputs are utilized for calibrating camera parameters. Neural networks are utilized for compensating the vision system's output. Sensor integration method based on fuzzy inference is utilized for integrating multi-sensor outputs. Fuzzy inference's input consists of information on the change in the sensor output and the position change of the sensor system, together with the environmental data of measurement. The proposed system is shown to be effective through extensive experiments
