The invention relates to polynucleotide sequences comprising genetic variations of PAR 1 gene on positions 3090 and / or 3329. The occurrence of these variants in humans correlates with increased conspicuousness of certain cardiovascular diseases. The invention further relates to methods for detecting these genetic variations.
