Detection ofCoxiella burnetii by PCR in mice after administration of live M-44 vaccine

Original primers were prepared for the detection ofCoxiella burnetii by PCR for the amplification of a 752-bp fragment ofdnaJ gene. Using these primers we observed the persistence ofC. burnetii in different organs of mice after the administration of live Q-fever vaccine over a 7-months period.
