HPLC simultaneous determination of 8-substance in Salvia miltiorrhiza injection

Objective To establish an HPLC method for simultaneous determination of 5-(hydroxymethyl) -2-furfural(5-HMF),sodium danshensu,protocatechuic acid,protocatechuic aldehyde, vanilla acid,ferulic acid,rosmarinic acid and salvianolic acid B in Salvia miltiorrhiza injection. Methods Analysis was performed on a Waters symmetry C_(18)(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm) column with gradient elution of acetonitrile and 0.05%trifluoroacetic acid at the flow rate of 0.8 mL/min. The detection wavelength was 288 nm,and the column temperature was set at 25℃.Results 5-HMF,sodium danshensu,protocatechuic acid,protocatechuic aldehyde,vanilla acid,ferulic acid,rosmarinic acid and salvianolic acid B had good linearity in the certain ranges.The average recoveries and repeatability values were met the demand of Chinese pharmacopoeia.The method was used to analysis 150-batch Salvia miltiorrhiza injection,statistical results revealed the relationship between 5-HMF and 7-water-soluble substance in Salvia miltiorrhiza injection. Conclusion The method is high efficiency,simple,accurate with high repeatability and stability, which is helpful to control the quality of Salvia miltiorrhiza injection.
