O ensino de bioética para alunos de graduação em ciências da saúde: aprendizagem e formação crítica

2015
Biology and Biomedicine undergraduates enrolled in the discipline of Bioethics answered three questions based on two principles of the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights of UNESCO dealing with the protection of future generations and protecting the environment, the biosphere and biodiversity. From the answers we have identified eight categories that were analyzed with reference to the theory of Meaningful Learning. Preliminary results point to the need for specific approaches to the introduction of environmental issues in the teaching of Bioethics, traditionally related to clinical health issues. The category of respect to life/preservation had the highest scores in relation to three questions. Other categories with stronger conceptually definition than that as resource conservation and rights of future generations were less cited and related almost to a single question. The continuity of this study should allow the improvement of pedagogical practices related to Bioethics education, both in relation to traditional principles as the new.
