Effects of High Temperature on Plasma Fibronectin Levels and Serum Biochemical Parameters in Broilers

2000
In this experiment,39 day old broilers were reared at high temperature(42℃,3 h) and plasma fibronectin(FN) levels and other selected serum biochemical parameters(GLU,UA,TP,ALB,CHO,AST,T 3,T 4) were evaluated at 4 h,28 h,52 h after heat stress respectively,to study the effect of high temperature on physiological and metabolism aspects of broilers and to find a monitor of stress. The results showed as follows:plasma levels of FN in experimental group were higher than that in control group significantly after 28 h treatment of high temperature;Serum AST values were higher than that in control significatly after 28 h and 52 h treatment of high temperature;serum TP and ALB values were lower than control;all other parameters evaluated remained unchanged. The results indicated that high temperature could induce selective increase in circulating leves of the acute phase protein fibronectin in broilers.
