La gestion e delle acque di scarico delle aziende orafe artigiane: Origine e caratteristiche

A survey was carried out for an overall assessment of the wastewater management practices in artisanal gold manufacturing workshops in Italy. Data were gathered through visits and interviews at a representative sample of workshops sited in the gold manufacturing area of Arezzo. Moreover, samples of wastewater, spent baths, and reagents were analysed. This first paper presents typical volumetric loads and wastewater characteristics.
