Characteristics of liquid 2-methylnaphthalene near crystallization point

The kinematic viscosity, density, surface tension, and refractive index of neat 2-methylnaphthalene melt were studied. The range in the vicinity of the crystallization point was examined in more detail. Regression equations were found in a wide range of temperature. The volume fraction of clusters in the melt at the melting point was evaluated.
