Internal Limiting Membrane Peel

2017
Risk factors for the development of a membrane are age, posterior vitreous detachment, and a history of a membrane in the fellow eye. Most common cause is idiopathic; however it has been associated with retinal vascular diseases, inflammatory disease, trauma, intraocular tumors, and a history of retinal tear/detachment. No medical therapy currently exists.
