In the display screen (30) of a display unit, there is displayed not only a Web page (31) downloaded from the server but also a remote-control type control panel (32) which has a controllable display mode. A Web page (31) can be displayed in an enlarged or reduced scale by operating the cursor simply in that control panel (32). In case the Web page (31) is likewise a monochromatic display, the display can be monochromatically reversed. In case the Web page (31) is a color display, its color tone can also be reversed. Thus, the Web page can be displayed in such a display mode by a simple operation as is desired by the browser.
