The uprights 1 of a shelving system for merchandising/display lean, unattached, against the wall W without touching the floor and are supported by sloping legs 10 which extend outwardly and forward from the base. An adjustable spacer 7 and screw-thread mounted adjustable feet 11A,B may be provided.
