Research on Improving Sichuan’s Foreign Trade Competitiveness in the Post-epidemic Era

The global economic and trade environment has been constantly changing. The Coronavirus disease pandemic has caused a comprehensive impact on global production and demand. The changes in the internal and external environment and the realistic pressure have urged Sichuan province to rethink its consistent foreign trade strategy and to make corresponding adjustments under the new situation. This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the current situation of Sichuan’s foreign trade competitiveness in the post-epidemic era and puts forward a series of suggestions which aimed at enhancing Sichuan’s foreign trade competitiveness, expanding the international market more effectively during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, and making contributions to the construction of a high-level open economy. Furthermore, this paper also aims to provide theoretical and practical reference value for improving China’s overall foreign trade competitiveness.
