The invention relates to a three-wire DC microgrid system suitable for modern buildings and a control method thereof. The three-wire system DC microgrid system comprises a DC three-wire power distribution line, a diesel generator, at least one photovoltaic power generation device with a corresponding DC/DC converter, a group of energy storage batteries, a corresponding DC/DC converter of the batteries, at least one DC/DC converter with a corresponding DC load, at least one DC/AC inverter with a corresponding single-phase industrial frequency AC load, a frequency-amplitude-adjustable DC/AC inverter with a corresponding three-phase AC load, a three-phase AC/DC rectification/inversion device accessed to a large power grid, a voltage balancer and a microgrid control system. By adopting the control method, the microgrid system can run efficiently and steadily for a long term.
