Excess Volumes and Ultrasonic Studies of n,n-Dimethyl Acetamide with Substituted Benzenes at 303.15 k
2002
Abstract Molar excess volumes, (VE) and the ultrasonic sound volocity (U) of binary mixtures of N,N-dimethylacetamide with chlorobenzene, bromobenzene, fluorobenzene, nitrobenzene and aniline have been measured at 303.15 K. The speed of sound data were used to compute isentropic compressibilities (Ka) and deviation in isentropic compressibilities (δKs). VE values and δKs values are negative in all the systems, over the entire range of composition. The results are interpreted on the basis of intermolecular interactions between unlike molecules.
